I heard this band some decade or so ago, and it was like poetry to my ears. They exposed the sin and told about life at its disgusting depravity.
Awareness? yes, but I was not obedient or walking upright. No I have always had the head knowledge, but my heart was is disgustingly evil.
This claim to Christianity that I see everywhere, is like an entitlement or a recognized freedom from hurt, pain and grief. And its not, its only the beginning.
The important thing to hear in this song, is that your prayers are about something or somebody other than yourself. Its ironic that today, I learned that the only thing you can do to assault the devil is humility.
