Vision of God Records does have a good reputation with putting out quality metal. I can look to none other than the guys in Tortured Conscience for a surefire example of a band, that without qaulms will satisfy any death metal neanderthal.
Let me make this loud and proud, my ignorance and my stubborn hatred for myself. Was none other than, my inability to realize that it is indeed sin that is the nauseating sickness that was keeping me stubborn and misbehaving. Much like sin, satanic metal was always an ingredient that would help blister and suffocate the pain and noise. But sadly all it did, was continue to hurt and cause more harm. It didn’t offer me any remedy.
So when I heard a band like Dawnbreaker performing what to me is like some later Mayhem style barbaric black metal. This is almost up to a transylvanian sounding theme, but these lyrics are in fact actually glorifying Christ and are celebrating life. Which is absolutely brilliant to me. Whether they can be ran and tested through scripture, is a test, I am not at all up to snuff with handling the task.
What we have here is a bizarre but wild guitar barrage of noise, with a whole lot of jolting rhythm and melodies that keep me tapped in. I am thrilled and absolutely floored to have this release. And I do pray that these fine gentleman are indeed saying their prayers before meals. And are raising their young, to be good obedient children for the church. Because those, are the ones whom will be the demographic that will make a change in this life.
