Its not the east vs west, its nothing more than the battle of title and name.
And if we dig deeper I think its not hard to realize that the name Disgorge is actually shared by even more bands than just these two.
For me its always been the mexican band. They offer enough variety, and variation in their sound, to keep me entertained.
Dont get me wrong the cali Disgorge are not without their merits. But to me, they are reliably consistent in one sound.
If you listen to enough of the maxican band, their guitar playing and some of even the sampling. They do involve melody and harmony.
In terms of subject matter, and lyrics I could care less. I made a rant about this earlier. I think its foul and disgusting, and so in a sense I think the band would be happy. I am sure this is what they set out to achieve.
