I am rarely impressed or excited about a death metal band, so this comes as a surprise after hearing Japan’s Shinda Saibo No Katamari! did I say that correctly? a 3 piece who in their own words play “Brutal Death based technical riffing with complex song structure but keeping super brutality.”. Nothing is further from the truth upon initial listening. Here we have a banquet of sounds that comes off as very organic and authentic. The drums hit hard and the riffs are fierce. And fuck the vocals are beautifully guttural and complete! This may be my take for the Death Metal release of 2019. My hats off to you.
