Not unlike giants Antestor and Extol. Crimson Moonlight is just incapable of making bad music. One thing is certain though, their later work takes the cake for me. They have taken their black metal pedigree and have now added even more ferocity and even bordering into death metal territory.
I cannot get over the drumming on this release especially! but make no mistake about it. Their future releases are opus in and unto themselves.
I really appreciate the fact that this band has not abandoned their brutality and metal roots. I know that for certain Extol, has been exploring. And I cannot fault them too much. But if you ask me, what made me like Extol and Crimson Moonlight in the first place? unbridled brutality with conviction in their lyrics and song writing.
