I grew up with this stuff. It was a staple and a real treat in the morning, or even really at any other point in the day or evening, especially as a snack after a meal.
I stopped buying cereal, on the simple fact that it just doesn’t satisfy my hunger. And on the other hand, its simply not worth it to me spend 6-8$ on a box of food that I am lucky will last me more than 2 days.
I did swap over to oatmeal but its been made apparent to me this whole issue of gut health and lectin. Which does make sense, and I will tell you I experience heart burn, gerd and all the necessary evils of the gut and my health.
The basic take away from this, is:
prioritize cereal with high protein/fibre and avoid sugar.
