korean mmo’s

They basically invented p2w (pay to win). It’s not necessarily true in the sense, that everyone could afford to actually abuse the cash shop, without spending exponetially large amounts of money. But its not false to say, or assume that they do not give you an edge over a player who chooses not to pay their real money to play the game.

In the case of black desert, you need to both buy the game. And also use their cash shop.

Is it mandatory to use the cash shop in bdo? yes and no.

While you can use a certain ingame currency for some items necessary items, like extra weight. You are still required to wait a very long time.

And whether people want to admit it or not, the tent is not only necessary but also should be mandatory.

All together since playing bdo I spent maybe a little over $100. And paid for the game, I forget what the price of that was at the time. Did I gain anything from playing bdo? no absolutely not.

In fact, between the wasted time playing it throughout the years. And all of the money spent, it still remains uninstalled on my computer.

In summary, do not waste your money on mmo’s its just not worth it in the long run.

And stop trying to debate game A or game C is not p2w. Because believe it or not whales do play them. Worst of all, all the streamers who get paid to sit on their ass and act like they are experts, and better than everyone.

I dont mind a cash shop but it should only be for items that do not affect the gameplay dirrectly, in the case of advancing your character. I think league of legends has the right idea, honestly. And even dota 2, and path of exile.

Server costs, running the game and creating a fun and save enviorment. And not only that feeding the staff of the company. Its not cheap, I get it. But you net incentivise alterior methods to grow and keep the game.

And also the developers and those hired into the company should not be players themselves.
