is Shinobi 3 the greatest megadrive/genesis game?

When trying to figure out a “perfect” game its very much subjective, and it does all come down to a matter of opinion. Whether or not there is some shared opinion, which does make it sound more concrete and objective can only be determined through shared thought and documentation.

I honestly think that throughout all my years playing on Genesi or megadrive for other regions. I would definitely place Shinobi 3 as a top contender.

Firstly the control is very solid, and responsive, and the ability to go from walking to running… perform different mechanics, and attack, or throw shirukens etc.

And even the “special attack” can be advanced, and require technique and strategy.

And it is not without secrets and things to keep it interesting.

And best of all? the levels are all different and fresh and bring a new experience to the player.

And with this game in particular, it does actually have the ability to almost equip you for the next stage and environment, whether intended or not.

What I most loved about this game, is the fact that the last stage does take you through an obstacle course from hell. It throws you in there, and they do not hold back, with technical ability and performance, required to beat and complete.

Ill admit its less than encouraging when video games are now so widely enjoyed and shared over the internet. That is does create a bit of a buzz kill to the average player.

Well in regards to Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master, released in Japan as The Super Shinobi II, lets take a look at the men who made this game possible.
