My first console was a Nintendo Entertainment System (NES or Famicom). That being said, had Sega not spoiled me with those free Sega Visions magazine as a kid, I still very well might have been persuaded to get a game boy or a snes instead of a Game Gear!
Yep after the nintendo I got myself a game gear. And I was completely sold out for Sega! so then was the Genesis and the groundbreaking and revolutionary Sega-CD! I was scratching my head at Sewer Shark, spending hours of loading playing Willy Beamish, and being exposed to some adult themes with Rise of the Dragon. And how could I forget that beautiful instruction manual and very well my first rpg Vay!
I loved everything about Sega. I wasn’t persuaded anymore by the charm of Nintendo. All my friends with their playstation’s, it didn’t phase me. I was loyal to Sega. I went straight down the assembly lane, with the last being a Dreamcast. I never did however get a Master System, but honestly why would I? I had a game gear for crying out loud!
Anyway this post is less to do with my shenigans and Sega, and more to do with this youtube video. To me this fully illustrates and shows the charm of what was the 90s. Its got it written all over it. From the personality’s the edginess and the downright just fun loving nature.
I loved the 90s because we all knew what a faggot is. We also were fully aware of biological sexes. See back in the day, objectives were true and 1+1 was always 2.
