A new day

Let me be clear, my life is nowhere near perfect, I make mistakes and have my share of errors throughout the week and into the weekend, even on Sunday I might not be feeling my best. The cost of discipleship and worthiness comes only from boldly and sharing the name of Jesus with others. Your actions do give witness to the reality of Christ, its no question.

I kid you not, when I grabbed my bible today, this is exactly what opened up to me. I was as surprised, and more encouraged than anything else.

Today I reflected on a letter my oldest brother wrote me from jail, this was decades ago. I was living with my aunt and uncle at the time. In that letter my brother wrote about the fact that as Christians, we are as close to hell as we will ever be. And that as unbelievers they are as close to heaven as they will ever be. I couldn’t for the life of me, as a kid understand that. But now today I do know what he meant. I have been trying to get through to my oldest brother, and he is not wanting to hear any of it. I don’t mean to be sharing personal things about him and myself, on this website, but this was years past, and for all I know, he will more than likely address it as false and deny any of it, We need Christ, more than we need anything else, its not sexual or something twisted by the media and man, its His blood and his salvation.

When I was younger, I would go through the routine of church and it was all performance and stage. But as I get older, it becomes evident the need and necessity for it, in routine and life. Because I need to be reminded and helped.

The derailment of sin, is clearly in the addition not in the subtraction. If you peddle sin, and make it your ammunition. Then do not be hurt or mislead when it comes back and attacks you.

Isaiah 57:14… and onward was the scripture that I was reading. Its important for you as it is for me, to read the bible and scriptures, for all of our benefit.
