If you ask me a band from the lands of the rising sun (japan) that epitomizes death metal and propelled it and made it more known to their culture and others, I would think Vomit Remnants is the choice pick. Sure there are others who definitely ring a lot of bells, and if I am being honest Inestine Baalism deserves must recognition, but sometimes I just want to shut my brain off and listen to some brutality.
This is insanely deep gutturals with high pitched screams, not much akin to black metal, but definitely more just vicious and natural sounding. The music itself is down tuned, and fast drumming and blasts. I think he must use triggers, as some of this does sound inhuman, correct me if I am wrong?
This album itself is actually kind of technical in moment, but mostly just an arrangement in brutal experimentation, and it does have some schlock and “wigger” moments ala cypress hill samples. I am sure these orient samurai death metallers were very fascinated with the urban culture here in america.
I love when the album delivers hard chugging and then the guitars screech and it all comes together with the gutturals. I love the vocals the most on this album, probably because they have a very raw and natural sound, not very decipheral but I am unsure if this even has actual lyrics?
Believe me their discography is chocked full of lots of demo and ep material. This and hyper groove brutality are the only 2 official albums to my knowledge. And sadly the newer albums are missing Takahiro and Ryo.
