When I had a discussion today with a person over discord, something occurred to me and that is the fact that we as people are not changing at all, all the problems and realities for persons in the bible are the same for us today.
Yes, technology and our object world are changing and things are becoming different for people. But the emotions and suffering and the personality are still operating in the same fashion. God is still doing His business with life and the nature and events of the world. Growth and animal life operate under his guidance and fashion.
What really made think of this, is when I mentioned to the person I was speaking to about the man CS Lewis, and he was uplifted that it was a person from the past. Well early 1900’s. And this made think of myself and others around me, we are often trying to preach and share our “this” and “that’s” when in reality. Yes, the bible itself and the people before us have a better and more profitable viewpoint.
