A band I was never shy from listening or paying attention to was COFFINS. A Japanese band that plays doomy and filthy old school style death metal. I suppose the best comparison might be AUTOPSY. Not to dissuade you from listening to COFFINS, as they are fully capable of standing on their own and are a force to reckon with.
I am more than tired of the INCANTATION comparison to literally every band today. And so it does come with some flack from myself, to even compare them to another band. To be frank though, death metal as a whole is something that rather easy to replicate and to sound like band a. and band b. is not too hard to do, especially today!
Well here we have a collection of singles, ep and compilation tracks maybe even some unreleased tracks from the band. Also plenty of work from their splits with other bands.
If you’re unaware of this band, I would recommend giving them a listen. This might not be the best introduction to their music, I would go for their 2005 release Mortuary in Darkness, that was my flagship album from their discography, and its very nostalgic to me, because it was the first release of theirs I purchased.
