Hard for me to think of anything better maybe their neighbors and comrades Dead Congregation. Its almost discouraging to think that this band and its compatriots are all adamantly against God and especially find solace in blasphemy and rhetoric.
I did have the privilege to speak with this band previously. I was much less in the Christian frame of mind then, which might actually be why they shared words with me.
Their most recent Entropy Dynamics was much more ambitious and lyrical well examined and thought out. Musically its hard for me to pick favorites, as their discography is rather impressive. Each album separating itself and foraging new ground on its own.
This particular track I chose to share has a brief clip from the sadistic satanist and demonic evil man Jim Jones. He was heavily demonic and hated Christ.
I hate to share this music. Because I am aware of the fake and soulless individuals who will ignore logic and proceed to embrace hatred and embark on their own killing.
Lord in heaven, eternal father and God of peace, love and wisdom. God today I pray for the members of the band Embrace of Thorn. Lord I pray that you will reveal yourself to them. Help break any obstacles and illusions and lies that the enemy has put into their minds and hearts. Father God I pray that you will relive these men of the hate and bitterness. Give them hope, and focus… eternity focus.
One thing abut Christ is the death and resurrection. We as humans also take part in that death, its actually how we become more alive.
I think of many scriptures describing the death and taking part in it. “we who are alive are always being delivered to death for Jesus sake. So that HIS life may be evident in our mortal bodies…”
I think about this often, but worst of all the nag of my flesh. This dichotomy is evident in soul, spirit and body. I recall watchman nee describing this. And we as believers must be in spirit and not flesh and soul. If we operate in body and soul, we will be only lost in emotion and the sway of popular trend. Its only through the spirit that we can operate and be in contact with God.
