you opened the box!

Much like anybody else, using youtube became habit, it quickly became a mainstay for my every day internet usage. Growing up it wasn’t always easy seeing and watching video content, you have to think at that time it took a considerable amount of time to load up an image with a 56k dialup modem, and even that was an advancement! there were earlier modem speeds that were even slower. With speeds being a headache, and a challenge of patience, you also had your siblings or residents of the household of whom would be waiting for an important phone call and you would be tying up the phone line.

I say this all to make it known, that the evolution of internet speeds was a process and just like people who survive and live on the streets, when they get into a position of having access to things that make life easier, its easy to start thinking nefarious and evil things.

And so this all begins to corollate and see how the internet while a useful and very necessary utility for getting things done efficiently and quickly. It does not go without saying that you are in a sense, handling in itself the very box that Clive Barker introduced in the movies Hellraiser.

Pleasure? pain? apathy? guilt? shame? cowardice? malice? revenge? envy? grief? lust?

Animal behavior, primitive lifestyles are nothing new and nothing unique. There tribes in isolated areas of the world now, that are cohabitating and living in ways, that the average person on the streets could not comprehend. I remember the missionary man who went against the guidance and wisdom of others, and stepped onto their land to preach and was murdered as a result. When you hear people say things like, “dont poke the bear”, or “grab the bull by the horns”, those are statements that should be understood as caution, and not taken lightly.

Believe it or not, not much of that has anything to do with what I wanted to address in this article because yes, this particular piece has to do with the speed of sound, and voice. Growing up, marijuana and alcohol, had slowly became a normal. It was as if, those two things were no different than food and water, it was almost like a human necessity. So behavior and personality were largely interwoven into the mindset and psychology of these drugs and inebriants. Did you ever stop to think for a moment, when you took that drink of alcohol that they were originally called “spirits”, its not definitely not something you should casually just play around with for fun, or keep it hidden the closet. Because the monster that it creates, becomes the very image and thing that people around you perceive, as yourself.

Charles Bukowski and Hunter S. Thompson made a career out of involving their pleasure for inebriants and drugs into their literature and writings. And only God knows whom before them have did the same, and as for myself? yes, I have written a great deal of things while under the influence, and therein lies the problem, its this point and time you do need a grain of salt, or a good deal of discernment. And a objective mindset, so that you can have within yourself the ability to combat and assure yourself of what you are doing is right. Where does God belong in that? in every detail! from the beginning of Genesis to the ending of Revelations… each bit and piece of that book, must respond and correlate to every necessary being of your life and fiber. The cross and the death of Christ, is and was our purpose and responsibility to know the fathers love for us, and His commitment and plan to see us through this life.

When I hear these younger people scowl out their feelings, I begin to think of the hammer, nailing into Christ hand, and the mockery and ridicule and humiliation that he went through, at the cost of his life. Nothing we can do in this day and age, will amount to the treatment that Christ went through.

Your sickness is your comfort for the things that make you hate others, and it is through Christ that you can begin to heal and mend those broken wounds and pains and start to help and see life through a perfect lenses.
