My history with this band goes back to Repulsive Conception, that was the first official release I ever bought. I am sure even prior to that I heard at least samples and things. For the longest time nobody could convince me that anything is better than Repulsive, but when you dig into their discography you actually can find some overwhelmingly great material.

Enter Bowels of Repugnance (what a title!). Yes this band with Jeremy the guitarist also a well known horror author, it is no wonder their lyrics are some of the sickest and most depraved things. It was almost scary to think about some of the things they would muster up in the lyrics and song titles. And definitely Joe being the greatest death metal vocalist out of all america. His vocals just exceed raw and inhuman ability, not to mention he is able to maintain a good annunciation, no sissy shrieks or screams here just outright gutturals!
These tracks are all very short and the album itself is not very long maybe 20 minutes? I think of all their albums this one is maybe the most accessible and definitely the catchiest. Some of these riffs are downright haunting and very melodic and well done. The music and chemistry between instruments and vocals it all just speaks a very vivid and disturbing story, that cover art does unfortunately come to life for the listener.
I read a review by a half brained individual exclaiming this is nothing but sub par and resembles both Lividity and Cannibal Corpse. How much more wrong and dimwitted can you be?! I do agree their newer material is great, but if not the entire discography its all golden in my opinion. With the departure of Joe sadly the band should have called it quits.
