Growing up, through 80s onward into the 00s, I have watched several films, a lot of bad and some good. Some that actually caught my attention were from nicolas cage. I liked him, not because he is necessarily a good or bad person, but because I liked the film and the ideas and the story presented.
Recently I am seeing a lot of buzz around this film where its labeled and depicted as blasphemous and overtly satanic.
I don’t know what his personal beliefs are, but he is profiting from a film that could possibly divert and oppress Christianity instead of help.
The things you buy, the product you buy and movies, entertainment you consume does make a difference. It fuels the industry of sin or the body of Christ.
Everyone who creates something has a motive when they do something. For some its nothing but a salary or a wage, but the person who is filling your pockets, is also the same person who is fueling another industry, and that could be the source for sin and death, and not life.
Do you have any idea, what message goes into a person head when you give them money for exploiting themselves or drawing and wanting attention? its pathetic, and the person who is most pathetic is the one giving them the money. Think about this when you give money to a camgirl, onlyfans or streamers.
My frustration with this movie is the same reason I am frustrated with the band Deicide and the person Glen benton. And honestly the whole of satanic metal. As well as atheistic and nihilist/misanthropic metal in general. It profits, it flourishes and it distributes to minds and masses a message of hopelessness.
I dont know if you are aware, but I have watched and seen several musicians in metal die from suicide and murder. And the sickest part is that bands like Mayhem, they monetize it and exploit it. Those sick bastards live and walk this earth, and they profit and live otherwise “normal” lives.
Someone may attack them, and they need assistance from their local police. That police officer could very well be a christian man, that saves them from threat. Those churches they burnt down, were not only historical and places of worship and celebration of Christ, but a person or people worked and labored to build it.
I am off on a tangent and it ends here. As far this new Nic Cage film is concerned, find a way to watch it through “means”. But do not support this trash, and the fact Nic Cage instagram is ran by a woman who has a bible verse in the bio does elude to more questions than answers. I haven’t watched the film, I really have no interest to either. I did like him as an actor, and enjoyed a lot of his films. He does have a free will, and positive spirit about him. He isn’t afraid to show his faults as much as his positive character traits. The man needs Christ, and he needs it in a bad way. I really do hope this film brings more people to Christ then away.
