I am currently working on a list of 100 bands/albums. It will hopefully share more christian inspired bands, but will also include bands that are not christian. I will however be sharing my opinion of not only the music but detailing the lyrical content, especially making light of the content and hopefully share the intention of the bands.
As long time listener of this music, I have been aware of many suicides of musicians. I have also got to learn more about the psychology and worldview of these bands.
The more you look into them, the more you realize how miserable the men and women are. They are also almost all addicted to drugs/alcohol, or have a dependence of some kind substance. Especially marijuana and alcohol.
So far I am in the 80’s and I got a long way to go.
I hardly have scratched the surface of a majority of bands so I am going to be doing some more research and am enjoying long listening time. Far from exhaustive and complete, but I hope it will help give people an idea of the music I enjoy the most.
