When it comes to Sega Saturn emulation, between SSF and mednafen I am hard pressed to find a better emulator. I myself primarily use bizhawk now, because of its implementing retroachievements. Its a lot easier in my opinion than using retro arch, while it doesn’t have netplay, it does seem to perform the same as mednafen and SSF.

I have tried to communicate with Shima privately with no luck. He is very private, and he does only speak Japanese, so it is hard to communicate without aid of translator.

If he could fine tune this better, and include addition of net play, and possibly even retro achievements, I would definitely make this primary emu for Saturn.

As always using a physical console is preferred, but good luck collecting for this console. All the games are scarce, and most titles are mid 100 if not into the 1000s.

I know how you guys love to read your books in sealed plastic, and “play” your video games sealed in your glass cases and God only knows what other measures to ensure you don’t actually play them.

Nobody gave a damn about my copy of panzer dragoon saga then, and honestly anyone who pays over 1000$ for plastic is really not impressing me. Especially considering the money goes into the pockets of greedy collectors and not the developers or creators of the games themselves.

This whole business of collecting is fine, if you are able to take care your of your family and community around you, do whatever you want. But Ive seen relationships ruined by collecting, and Ive always seen the detriment it has on the creation and production of original games and art.

Now with AI everything is cheapened and its all about mass production and shitty quality.

The creative minds and the laborers behind the art and creation of it, are the ones that deserve the recognition and payment. Not collectors and sellers.

if you are interested, I do run a facebook for this emu, its nothing great, but it does share my experience with it and gives others the opportunity to explore the emu and get help and meet others that enjoy using it.
