I was very much into death metal growing up, that it did steal and take my attention from otherwise good and healthier choices of music. Now don’t go thinking Im leaving my death metal out to… die, but for me personally, the genre has reached its plateau and it cannot go any further. If a master gutturals and maestro on the axe or a beater of the skins, proves me wrong, so be it! but as for right now. I am very much open minded and love listening to different ranges and variety of music.
And sorry to my Christian audience in your perfect suits and dress attire with your stiff finger in my face, with your moral superiority. But I will not deflect, or deny the fact that I am a sinner and I do need the grace and love of Christ, every day, every minute and every hour of this circus called life.
I think more people are more concerned about their eternal destination after life, than the reality of the existence we are in now.
All that is besides the point, and that is that if you love life and metal you must get yourself iced in this earth, because the atrocity of hell and its heat and damnation are so compelling and distracting people are sweating from it here and now in life.
Iced Earth are described as power/thrash metal. Whatever the case, I always considered this more progressive, I really don’t know to be honest, I think this is where I am in unchartered territory. Because with the exception of Jacobs Dream, Balance of Power and Dream Theater, I am very limited in my understanding and knowledge of the music as a whole. Oh and don’t let me forget Veni Domine!
But not to rattle the course too much, I would kindly oblige you to please check out Iced Earth and show them some support and love. And yes, even monetary help. I know physical media nowadays is in a bit of a turmoil.
